For one, think about the person you’re visiting. “Healthy” Relationships

Yet heightened inflammation over time raises the risk of delayed healing or can contribute to many other diseases. Chronic inflammation has been tied to type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and heart disease.

While the study concentrated on older women who had survived breast cancer, it’s suggestion that focusing on strong, healthy relationships may assist in dealing with other illnesses by reducing stress levels.

New Testing at Miami Beach

Many public testing sites for COVID-19 have requirements, such as being open only to patients that are already showing symptoms or requiring that people make an appointment before they’re allowed to be tested. Those simply looking for peace of mind from the result may not be eligible.

Much of that is now changing thanks to the recent opening of a new testing site in Miami Beach. Located at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the testing accepts drive-thrus but also allows for walk-ins without an appointment. To be tested, patients must be eighteen or older.  Children accompanied by a parent or guardian are also being allowed. Patients are not required to show symptoms to be tested and, again, there is no appointment required.

Miami Beach’s COVID-19 testing site is operating each day from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m at the 17th Street entrance to the Convention Center. When heading out for testing, be sure to wear a mask and have a photo ID ready before you go.
